Antonio Copete
Antonio Copete, Ph.D. Vice-president for Science, Technology and Innovation at EAFIT University (Medellín, Colombia). Ph.D. and Master's degree in Physics from Harvard University, and Bachelor of Science in Physics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Dr. Copete has served as Director of STI Capabilities and Outreach at the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation (MinCiencias) of the Republic of Colombia, and previously as
a researcher at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics (Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA), in the area of High-Energy Astrophysics. In 2019, he was appointed by the Government of Colombia as a member of the Basic and Space Sciences group of the International Committee of
Experts for the Advancement of Science, Technology, and Innovation.
