Brenda Arias Martín has a degree in Physics from the University of Guadalajara, México. She obtained a master’s degree in Education with a specialty in New Information and Communication Technologies from the Anahuac University and in 2004 completed a Diploma in Science Communication from UNAM, which allowed her to work preparing scripts for science and technology radio capsules. She has worked as science dissemination and communication at UNAM Research Centers, as well as in State Science and Technology Councils. Since 2012 she joined UNAM’s Astronomy Institute where she is Coordinator of the Department of Science Communication. She has been general coordinator of the largest mass event for the dissemination of science in Mexico, the Night of the Stars, with more than 80,000 people attending. She is also an avid writer collaborating with media like Nexos, México Desconocido, ¿Cómo Ves?, Muy Interesante and Muy Interesante Junior.
