Patricia Arbeláez Montoya
Patricia Arbeláez Montoya, MD, MPH, PhD, is a professor of epidemiology at the Universidad de Antioquia and the university’s vice president of research. She received her MD from the Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana, her MPH from the Universidad de Antioquia, and her PhD in epidemiology from Johns Hopkins University. Patricia has led epidemiological surveillance research on the public health impact of Wolbachia in Colombia as a consultant to the World Mosquito Program. This work has included longitudinal surveys of dengue incidence in the three cities of the Aburra Valley. She also served as a consultant to study on the cost effectiveness of Wolbachia in Colombia that is being prepared for publication.
