Ricardo Mejía Gutiérrez
Ricardo is the current Director of Research at EAFIT University; a senior researcher at the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation; and a member of the Design Engineering Research Group (GRID), ranked A1 by Minciencias. He participated, between 2012 and 2016, in the development of Solar Vehicles (Primavera I and II) with EPM, and currently leads the 2030 Energy Alliance at EAFIT, an inter-institutional research program funded by the World Bank, and developed in conjunction with 8 universities, 3 companies, and 11 international partners, in the strategic focus of Sustainable Energy of the Colombia Científica program. Ricardo holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from École Centrale de Nantes (France), a Master's degree in Manufacturing Systems from Tecnológico de Monterrey (Mexico), and a degree in Production Engineering from EAFIT University.
