Sandra Valenzuela
Lawyer specialized in Environmental Law from the Universidad del Rosario and with a double Master's Degree in Environmental Sciences and Development Policy from the University of Ohio (United States). She has been working on environmental issues for more than 25 years with a strong focus on Amazon conservation, a specialist in protected areas, financing mechanisms for development and social inclusion, climate change, land tenure, and border and marine issues. She is co-director of the IUCN International Conservation Union (IUCN) Global Green List and Effective Management Specialist Group. She has been working at WWF Colombia for 19 years and today is its Executive Director.
